This page explains what information is collected when you visit claybitner.com, including the main links page and the brag document. This site is a personal website operated by Clay Bitner.
What this site collects
This site does not have user accounts, comments, checkout, newsletter signup, or an embedded contact form. If you simply browse the site, I do not intentionally ask you for personal information.
Like most websites, basic technical information may be logged automatically by the web host or security/CDN provider. This can include your IP address, browser type, requested pages, referrer, timestamps, and similar diagnostic information. This information is used to keep the site available, secure, and working properly.
Email and direct contact
If you contact me by email, I will receive whatever information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, message, and any details included in your email. I use that information to read, respond to, and follow up on your message.
Cookies and analytics
I do not currently run a separate analytics product on this personal site. Cloudflare or the web host may use limited cookies or request logs for security, performance, abuse prevention, and basic traffic diagnostics.
External links
This site links to third-party websites and services, including social media profiles, Digital Indoorsmen, Grace Edmonton, LinkedIn, payment/support links, affiliate links, and other resources. When you click those links, you leave claybitner.com. Those other sites have their own privacy policies and practices.

Some links may contain affiliate codes. If you click one of those links and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. The third-party site or affiliate network may collect information according to its own policies.
How information is used
Information collected through normal site operation is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site. Information you send directly by email is used to respond to you and manage that conversation.
Sharing information
I do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help run the site, such as hosting, DNS, CDN, security, and email providers. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or needed to protect the site from abuse.
Retention
Server logs are generally retained only as long as needed for operations, security, troubleshooting, and hosting-provider requirements. Email messages may be retained as part of normal email records unless deletion is requested and retention is not otherwise required.
Children
This site is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
I use reasonable measures and service providers to keep this site secure. No website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I will update the effective date at the top of this page.
